Dog's Top 5 Movie Badasses (and One Runner Up)

1 Tombstone
Tombstone

Between Kurt Russell, Sam Elliott, and Val Kilmer—not to mention narration by Robert Mitchum and a cameo from Charlton Heston—there is more cool than a cucumber patch in this latter-day classic. Small wonder Dog would put this at the top of his list.

2 Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Mr. and Mrs. Smith

It's Brangelina, Hollywood's newest most beautiful couple. Here, they fight hard and love hard—kind of like Dog himself. If Dog and his bride, Beth, had a movie inspired by them, it would probably be this one.

3 The Bourne Identity

Matt Damon may have played a Southie math genius in Good Will Hunting, but he's nothing if not pedigree badass here. Based on Robert Ludlum's novel about an amnesiac who's trying to outrun his past, this is one to appeal to that Dog side in all of us.

4 The Mask of Zorro
The Mask of Zorro

Banderas—even his name sounds like "badass"—is to swordfighting what Dog is to crossing borders: Nobody's man but his own. Only Catherine Zeta Jones stands a chance of taming this renegade.

5 Pink Cadillac

What list of badasses would be complete without Clint? He's the quintessential bondsman here, tracking down outlaws and bringing them back to face a little justice. Not hard to see why Dog loves this one.

Runner Up:
Midnight Run
Midnight Run

Perhaps a comedy about bounty hunting isn't quite good enough for Dog's most badass tastes, but there's still plenty to love in this cross-country romp with DeNiro in fine form as rough-and-tumble—and down-and-out—ex-cop Jack Walsh.
