Kate Jacobs stopped at Borders recently to celebrate the release of Knit Two, the delightful sequel to her bestselling debut, The Friday Night Knitting Club. The two books – both book club favorites – tell the story of Georgia Walker and her daughter, Dakota, their Manhattan knitting shop, and the group of women that form a deep bond of friendship through the knitting club they form. The desciption of FNKC as a “Steel Magnolias set in Manhattan,” is spot-on; in fact, Magnolias star Julia Roberts recently signed on to play the lead in the upcoming movie adaptation of Friday Night Knitting Club. With Borders, Kate also discussed Comfort Food, her recent book featuring a brand new cast of characters.
