IS THERE ANYTHING AFTER THE KIDS?
Hey Mel,
I have often wanted to consult a life coach but, go figure, I couldn't afford one. I am a 35-year-old housewife with three boys at home and two girls who live with their other parents. I have a bachelor's degree in communications and have never held a "real" job. I am torn between wanting to have a successful career for myself, and financially, for my family, and staying home to be there for my kids. I am afraid if I wait too long to find the right career for myself I will a) not have enough energy to pursue that dream career with the vigor of a new graduate, and b) it will just plain be too late for me to excel in my chosen career, whatever that is. I need help committing to a life and career path. I feel like there is something waiting for me out there but I have no idea what it is and I have lost the conviction I used to have as a younger me. Please help me to end this inner turmoil. I can't wait to breathe deeply once again. Sincerely,
Sharla in Florida
